Klaus Verchwörer (October 11, 1900 - April 22 1975) was a German-American chemist, author, and magazine publisher who specializes in alkaline solutions. He worked as an alkaline specialist for Burlow Chemical from 1930 to 1974.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Verchwörer received his undergraduate education at the University of Hamburg and his doctorate in chemistry in 1924. After postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, he joined Burlow Chemical in 1930.
