The Skeleton Realm LIVE! Band, or simply "The Band," is an American band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, which includes the members Doug Bleichner, Dana "Dana the chat mod," Mr. Horn, Mr. Drums, and others. They are currently signed to Fecal Spring Records (formerly known as Skeleton Realm Records).

They are the house band of the weekly show Skeleton Realm LIVE! and release a new album every 10 weeks, in accordance with the SRL! Calendar and in celebration of "The Special of Ten" episodes. Their music can be easily streamed and enjoyed on Spotify and YouTube.

History

Background

The Band's music focuses on different Realmer and show-related topics with songs like "I Wish The Show Was Every Night," but they also make songs about various other topics like relatable struggles and fun times. Their 2023 debut album 50! was named in honor of Episode 50.

Current member Doug Bleichner is an alumni of The Verchwörer Institute of Art and has been previously involved with various music projects such as Meat and Doug Bleichner. Dana "Dana the chat mod" is a graduate of the University of Canine Studies as well where she specialized in Dog Viewing.

The Band's music has been described as drawing from genres such as rock, pop, soul, funk, hip-hop, rap, hardcore, epic, experimental, new age, rhythm and blues, and electronic music, among many others.

The band used to play small shows and now they play really big ones and are considered interesting, talented, and cool by music writers and critics who have called them “Awesome,” with a “Great Sound” and “Unique.” The Band wears clothing items that are unique and interesting while at the same time signaling a certain type of artistic aesthetic and swagger that shows the fans and critics they are interesting, cool, but most importantly very unique. The Band and Fecal Spring/Skeleton Realm Records have both expressed many times that the band’s clothing fashion style is central to their sound. Legacy

Many very important critics have said that The Band's impact on the music industry and culture in general is so global and epic that it's almost immeasurable. They have sold an incredible amount of t-shirts with their logo on it, and many physical and digital copies of their music to match. The Band continues to influence young musicians, artists, and "Brand Thought Leaders."

Controversy

None so far, aside from Haters and issues with censorship, especially controversial songs like "I'm A Dirty Gorbus" from their album 50!.
